Interesting read. Same chip in iPhone 5s and iPad Air, similar throughput. Except the Air has over 4x the pixels, so for surface shading at native resolution, the Air is at a 4x disadvantage compared to the 5s. Seems a likely target for the A7 line would be to render near native on the iPhone 5s and half resolution (quarter area) on the Air (ie the same resolution). Targeting native resolution on 5s provides around 4 tex/pix/ms which is roughly half of the Xbox360 throughput.
